Thanks! One reason I left film school was the disdain for some of the topics I wanted to write about. I’m afraid snobbery is an academic tradition, a sort of perpetual adolescent notion of defining people by the status — or worse, smallness of number of appreciators — of what they like. Many movies are at the top of both axes — Singin’ in the Rain, Wizard of Oz. Oh, and our family has a rule that you never make someone feel bad for liking something.
